Est. 2002 · Sugar House, Salt Lake City
A gathering space where everyone is safe to share their story. Locally roasted coffee, fresh food & good people since 2002.
Our Story
Sugar House Coffee has been the heart of the Sugar House neighborhood since 2002. Founded by Bob Evans and carried forward by his family, we're a gathering place where the door is open to everyone, no exceptions.
We locally source our ingredients because supporting our neighbors matters. Our beans are roasted right here in Salt Lake City by Rimini Coffee, our bread comes from Stoneground Bakery, and our pastries are baked by local artisans.
"The community will be there for me and carry me when I can't do it alone."
— Emily Potts, Owner
More Than a Coffee Shop
We believe a coffee shop should give back as much as it serves. Here's how we show up for Sugar House.
As a proud member of the Utah LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, we're committed to being a place where every person feels welcome, valued, and safe. We've hosted Fashion Fluid Closet–a free, gender-affirming clothing pop-up–and fly our rainbows proudly year-round.
Our walls are a rotating gallery of local art. We sponsor the Sugar House Art Walk and give artists a platform to share their work.
Piano players, singer-songwriters, and open mic nights. Grab a latte and discover SLC's next great talent.
Rimini Coffee roasts our beans. Stoneground bakes our bread. Local dairies supply our milk. When you buy here, you're supporting a whole network of Salt Lake small businesses. That's been our promise since day one.
